Why in-house

Engineers who operate what they ship.

Off-the-shelf processors and AI platforms optimize for the average customer. Our clients' loss curves, fraud surfaces, and matching distributions are not average. We engineer software against the actual data, not against a vendor's roadmap, and the engineers who write the code respond when the pager fires.

TSYS gateway integration

Direct integrations, not aggregator hops.

Our payments practice integrates clients directly against the TSYS processing platform. Authorization flows hit the network in one hop, not through a stack of intermediaries each adding latency and a take rate.

We operate authorization across the regions our clients run in. Each integration is owned, monitored, and tuned by the same Hitpixel engineers who built it.

Fraud detection

Models trained on client loss curves.

Generic fraud models optimize for the average merchant. Our clients operate in verticals where the fraud surface is sharper than average, and the cost of a false-decline is higher than for a generic SaaS checkout.

Detection runs in-line with authorization. Signals come from each client's own products: device telemetry, behavioral patterns, historical chargeback resolution. The model is rewritten against new loss curves on a quarterly cadence.

Tokenization

PCI scope contained at the vault.

Client product systems never touch a PAN. Card data enters the vault once and is referenced everywhere downstream as an opaque token. PCI DSS scope contracts to the vault and the gateway, not the entire client estate.

Our partnership with ValueMentor certifies the posture end-to-end. Audit posture is engineered in from day one, not retrofitted after a failure.

Recurring billing

Subscriptions, dunning, retries.

Subscription state lives in the gateway we engineer, not scattered across client product databases. Lifecycle events (trial, renew, downgrade, cancel, refund) flow through one ledger and are reported through one set of dashboards.

Dunning is tuned per client vertical. Retry timing for an innovative communications platform is not the same as for a fitness product, and the system does not pretend it is.

Risk scoring

Per-transaction underwriting.

Every authorization is scored before it hits the network. The score combines first-party signal (account age, prior payment history, device continuity) with network signal (BIN, issuer, country, velocity).

Threshold policy is per-client, not per-gateway. A first-time buy on a high-margin product has a different score-to-decision mapping than a renewal on a low-margin one.

AI and LLM systems

Models in production, not in slide decks.

Our AI practice ships large language models, retrieval systems, and matching engines into client environments. Innovative communications platforms are a primary focus: matching, ranking, moderation, and conversational systems engineered against real-world user behavior.

Each model is trained on the client's own data and operated against measured user outcomes, not benchmark scores. The same engineers who train the model run the inference fleet.
